Short Bio

Ralitsa Simeonova-Ganeva has been a member of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at FEBA since 1999, where she teaches courses in statistics, econometrics and economic modelling. She obtained a PhD degree in Economics/Statistics in 2007 from Sofia University. Her main research interests are in the field of labour economics, economic growth, and applied econometrics.

She has over 17 years of experience in quantitative analytics consultancy including macro and micro economic modelling, net impact assessment of public policies, and prescriptive analytics: she was key expert/team leader in analytical assignments for various public and private organisations like the Council of Ministers, the President of Republic of Bulgaria, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of Regional Development, Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency, WYG International, ECORYS, EOS Matrix, Business and Strategies in Europe, market research agencies, etc.

Her project work includes participation in: development of a simulation model for net impact assessment of EU funds (SIBILA model); net impact assessment of active labour market policies; preparation of detailed forecasts for labour supply, demand and qualification gaps till 2028; estimation of current and expected risks related to debt payments; 2011, 2012 and 2013 SMEs Reports; development of impact assessment models and systems of indicators for the EU operational programmes in Bulgaria; preparation of the National Development Programme Bulgaria 2020, etc.
